This section has a lot of stuff, which does not really fit in anywhere on this site. Some of these where part of my first site, and still deserve the attention.

Enjoy!

:: COFFEE ::

Let it be known: I love coffee!
Since the very beginning I have preached about the joy and wonder of
S T A R B U C K S
coffee - and to this day it is still No. 1!.
Anyhow, here is the original and best:

"How to brew the perfect cup"
There are 4 fundamentals of coffee brewing:
1. WATER Start with cold, fresh, preferably filtered water, heated to just off the boil to extract coffee's full range of flavor.
2. GRIND The right grind depends on how long the coffee and water will be in contact, from very coarse for a coffee press, to very fine for a espresso machine.
3. PROPORTION The classic recipe: 2 tablespoons / 10g coffee for each 6 ounces / 180ml of water. Skimping on the coffee makes for an over-extracted, bitter brew. To moderate your coffee's strength, add hot water after brewing.
4. FRESHNESS Buy enough fresh-roasted beans to last a week or less, and store them in a dark, airtight container at room temperature. For best results, grind the beans just before brewing, then enjoy your coffee fresh or transfer it to a thermal carafe.

:: THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA ::

This is my little tribute to the greatest musical of our time - the Phantom of the Opera.

Here is the beginning of the story:
It is 1911 and the contents of the Paris Opera House are being auctioned off. Present are the auctioneer, porters and bidders. Raoul, now seventy years old and in a wheelchair, buys a poster and a music box. As the auctioneer displays the Opera House chandelier, he explains that it is connected with the legend of The Phantom of the Opera. With a flash of light, the audience is flung back in time, when the Paris Opera was at its height.
