The show takes place in Boston, and revolves around the "Two
Guys", Pete and Berg, who are both college students and
roommates. The "and a Girl", is their longtime friend
Sharon who lives in the same apartment building and works as a
sales rep for a chemical company. She hates the idea of killing
the environment, but she likes the money. Pete and Berg work at
Beacon Street Pizzeria in Boston, owned by Bill, where they make
just enough to eat pizza and scrape by like the students they
are.
One of the regulars at the pizza place is Mr. Bauer. He always
thinks he has lived a scene from a movie and uses it as the
basis for some story he tells.
To help pay for college Berg also does medical testing of
different drugs and products pharmaceutical companies to see how
they work, usually causing a humorous situation.
Irene is the somewhat excentric neighbor, who has an unatural
love for cats - and has way too many of them. While Johnny
enters the show and becomes "friendly" with Sharon,
Ashley contineously tries to fight off Bergs charm.
As for the show title. "Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizzaplace"
was only used for the first two seasons. From season 3, the
official title became "Two Guys and a Girl". Much
easier and more appropriate, as the guys leave the pizzaplace...
